My daughter, after successfully getting me to make her prom dress last year [link] decided to try again this year. She drew a picture of what she wanted me to make. It was quite a job. By the time this was finished, there were at least three patterns involved, and I’d still made some of it up as I went. The final product wasn’t too far from the sketch and she was thrilled.

She also wanted me to mention that she got a lot of compliments.
